Up for sale is a pair of the legendary JBL Studio 530 bookshelf speakers. Designed by JBL’s iconic chief engineer Greg Timbers, this model has reached absolute cult-classic status in the audiophile community.
Unlike standard dome-tweeter bookshelves, the 530 features a genuine 1-inch Teonex® compression driver mounted to a glass-filled ABS Bi-Radial® horn. Combined with a very low 1.5 kHz crossover point, the horn handles the entire midrange and high-frequency spectrum.
The result is a massively deep, holographic soundstage, precise imaging, and an effortlessly dynamic presentation that mimics high-end studio monitors. The 5.25" PolyPlas™ woofer is housed in a deceptively tall, rigid cabinet that provides surprisingly deep, tight bass extension down to an honest 45Hz.
