Part of TEAC’s celebrated Reference 501 series, this unit features a compact A4-sized footprint but is built like a tank with full-metal construction, thick aluminum panels, and a robust steel chassis to eliminate micro-vibrations.
What makes the PD-501HR incredibly unique is its ability to play native DSD (2.8MHz/5.6MHz) and high-res PCM (WAV up to 24-bit/192kHz) burned directly onto recordable DVDs or CDs. When switched to "Pure Mode," it processes DSD natively into an analog signal without converting it to PCM first, delivering an ultra-liquid, smooth, and analog-like midrange that rivals much more expensive setups.
